Before and after school, school vacation and summer child care is provided for school aged children from ages 5 - 12, attending the Charlton Schools. Located minutes from route 20, near the Charlton Oxford line, yet nestled in a wooded area, Yvonne's is a convenient and safe place where friendships are nurtured and children are encouraged to take an active role in planning and carrying out a variety of healthy and fun activities. Before and after school, a variety of nutritious breakfasts and snacks are served. Daily activities include outdoor play, crafts and games as well as the homework club. School vacation and summer care includes a wide variety of theme days which the children help to plan and carry out. Traditional favorites include an unbirthday celebration and our end of the summer carnival. Weather permitting, we spend as much time as possible outdoors in the summer. Daily activities include swimming, crafts, outdoor games such as badminton, croquet, basketball and free play in our large outdoor play yard,as well as a multitude of indoor activities including air hockey and cooking. The children help to plan, prepare and serve our daily buffet lunches. |
